How durable is the LaRue Tactical Beverage Entry Tool?

I'm in the market for a tactical beverage entry tool and I'm leaning toward the LaRue model LT-205. Before I place the order for what may be one of the most important tools in my arsenal, I need some feedback from the professionals. How durable are these things? How's the fit and finish and does it wear quickly? Those of you who carry them, what's your preferred method? I appreciate your help regarding this important decision.

I use .45ACP to open my beverages. It's foolproof although there may be some associated liquid loss. Give it a try.

The Armadillo is indestructible. I've never seen the finish come off and I've used and abused them.

However, all of your friends will steal them so buy in bulk.

i have several. La Rue seems to send one with every order.

for close quarters imbibing, the tool has no peer.

You can open capped bottles with a Gallil or whatever the Israelis called it...

I'm surprised that the Irish didn't think of that one... And that the Brits don't have rifles with built-in tea dealies...

For those of a more Western persuasion, 1911s have been known to make a quite satisfactory substitute to a Makarov in this role.

I find that a P-38 on a chain around your neck (like a dog tag chain) seems to work about the best of any of the methods or tools I have tried. Second choice would be Kline.

I'd love to find some of those. The places around me only sell the cheap plastic handled chinese version.

P.S. Folks, quite a lot of us have browsers that can't see Windows Bitmaps. Jpgs or gifs work much better as far as accessibility.

I just bash mine on the edge of a table or whatever else happens to be nearby. Its more of a KISS approach and thus, more tactical.
