How far out can a stock AR10 in 308 reasonably be expected to shoot accurately?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with optics yet. I think I'm just going to get my reloads worked up, take it out to 300 yards, if it performs well, I'll then move out to 600 yards and report back. I'm sure I'll be looking for better optics at some point down the line, but I'll wait until I find that to be my limiting factor.

I just ordered the Arken 6-24x50 for $449 plus $170 worth of free scope goodies. I have heard nothing but good things about this company and it sounds like Arken is going to be a game changer and is going to give the high end optic companies a run for their money. I hope it's as good as I've heard. If it is, I may buy another one just to have at this price.

That's good shootin'. especially when the target is running around and shooting back.

I was in an overwatch position in a different location from the main force. Dude never knew i was there. So he wasn't running around and he was shooting at other people. I had a match grade barrel, a great trigger, and match ammo, shooting off a bipod, on a sunny day with little wind. All the stars aligned. Was actually probably one of the easier shots in combat I ever took.
