I know I'm a gunny because I finally found a watch I like after months of looking for one to replace my Omega Seamaster Limited Edition which was stolen. The watch is an Ebel, and ironically is named the "1911".

I jokingly told the salesperson whom I know that I really like the watch, but I felt conflicted because I thought it would be odd to buy a watch called the 1911 when I'm more of a Glock guy.

He laughed, but I doubt he actually got the joke. It's possible though.

Seems like if you were a gunny, you'd spend $5-600 on a nice watch and the other ~$2800 on some new toys.

fine watches, high-end automobiles, and quality guns for some reason to me all seem to be different sides of the same coin.

Apparently the coin has three sides, which is odd, but you get the point.

I think what I like most about guns is the engineering, innovative designs, and attention to detail.

I would probably have it smashed to bits in 60 days. I have a tendency to ram watches into equipment, desks, counters, doorjams, etc. I quit wearing them years ago.

I also don't wear a cellphone on my waist for the same reason.
