Thanks everyone for the wealth of information here! I got a Pietta 1860 revolver a couple weeks ago, then found out I can't buy caps. So making caps seems like a great idea as well as my only option... I ordered the cap maker and prime all on Friday, and to my surprise it was shipped Monday and tracking says I will get it Friday. So only a week waiting time total. I did manage to get a tin of #10 CCI caps from a guy at the range, too small to even start my Slix-Shot nipples and a super tight fit with my stock nipples. But I can force them on the stock nipples with a wood dowel, so I can at least shoot it. Better then just hanging the pistol on the wall! I picked up a tube of the Green Duco cement today. I'll experiment with the Duco mixed in acetone for the binder. Thanks again!
