Hoping to get some idea if I am waiting in vain here. I ordered an LC9 from a friend of a friend who has a side business doing gun smithing and FFL transactions. It's been over a month now, and I'm wondering if I should cancel his order and see if one of my local gun shops can get me one quicker.

Any insight appreciated. Thanks, Keith

1) look around and see if any other shops have them in stock
2) ask your friend if he know approx. how much longer yours will take to get in
3) if you dont like his answer, cancel order
4) go to gun shop and buy gun.

armed, you dont have to wait... calll the friend-of-you-friend and ask him if he can do a trasfer, if not, go to a local gunshop that is willing to do the trasfer, then click here.

order it from them (call to make sure they have the FFL on file) if not, get your friend or the gunshop fax them the FFL. your gun shop be there in 2/3 days.

ETA: you can also tell your friend to ordered from the link above, they have it in stock and ship fast.

I waited for one, my EX-dealer didn't call me. Add insult to injury he got another in stock, didn't call so now my EX-dealer sold two without informing me. I am gonna go elsewhere even if I do have a longer wait.

Back in Feb I happened to be in the store when a LC9 was delivered. I hadn't heard of the gun but impulse bought it. The dealer has been trying to get another since Feb and finally got one last week.

I waited two months for my LGS to get me one. Finally gave up and ordered it from Buds and had it in three days. I like to buy local, but he was o.k. with it and I paid him $50.00 to do the transfer which is more than twice his normal fee.

Since I was just in there to pick up some cleaning and reloading supplies I had ordered, maybe get a pound of powder and get out on the cheap for once when my girlfriend said "look they have the LC9" in that tone of voice that eggs a man into buying something, I didn't wait at all. Now just to get hold of a holster for it...

I was leaving my favorite shop a month ago when I told the owner to hold the next LC9 for me, he didn't have any idea when it would arrive. The next morning he called me at 10am and said UPS just dropped off 2 of the guns. My wait was 18 hours.

Walked in to LGS, waited five minutes for the background check, walked out with new LC9.

My lgs is having a huge ruger sale this weekend. They had a few lc9's the rep wouldn't tell me how many except that he already sold about half of them. This was last night. They are selling for 329.99. You can't do layaway at that price though. Trigger pull was looooong. I have big hands so it felt a little awkward - but manageable.

FYI... The rep doesn't expect to have any left by Saturday morning. Hotcakes comes to mind.

just got a sale flyer in the newspaper from Sportsmans Warehouse, usually dont deal with these folks because the gun salesmen there seem to be pompous and act they are doing you a favor talking to you, however they do show the LC9 on sale for 339.99, thought that wasnt a bad deal for new..

2.7 minutes to complete paper work. My gun shop has them for $330 and is moving them like hotcakes but still able to keep in stock.

My wife and i went to one of the local gun shops and they had one but my wife hadn't decided on getting it. Then the day after we went back to get it and it was gone. Lol so we put our name on the list, which we were first on and got it in 2-1/2 weeks. Another shop had a list for LC9's and it was like 10 name long.

For what it's worth I have over 1,200 mixed rounds through mine now, with no gun caused malfunctions.
