I'm just curious how long it took some other people to actually get their supressors in hand.

I sent off my paperwork and $200 money order for an AAC Pilot II .22lr supressor in early June and still haven't heard anything. Frankly I'm getting impatient!

The guy at my Class III dealer said it usually takes about 6 months. searches on the web have told be anywhere from 1-5 months. Is waiting this long normal?

If your impatient you should order something new every month so a new toy arrives every month, after the first 6 month wait. Give the NFA branch a call, your likely "pending" by now, if so forget about it and act happy when you get your Christmass present to yourself, likely when you'll get it.

I don't know where you've found 1 to 5 months, that would be a rare case.

About 6 months, depending on your examiner. My last one ran over 8 months. Waiting is part of the deal, getting impatient and calling the ATF or your dealer every week doesn't help the situation either.

So if you sent your things in early June, you can count on early December.

Sent my paperwork in last week, Jumping in with both feet! I bought 4 suppressors. I'm hoping to be doing the happy dance in March or April.

7 month wait on 3 NFA items. 2 Form 1's and 1 Form 4

Nfatracker.com will give you some clarity. A statistician has created a computer algorithm to predict when you will get your stamp. It works. It takes information like when your check was cashed, when it went pending, if it was an individual vs. legal entity, etc. Go browse the site for yourself and I garuntee you will come away with more clarity on the NFA process.
