(weird! no grip safety?? mine will have one)
Believe it or not, in the late '70s/ early '80s, it wasn't uncommon for serious gunnies to pin the grip safety. My dad's old Remington Rand is that way.

...I find that there are other guns I'd much rather carry on a daily basis and/or use to defend my family/home...
The OP simply asked how many people have. This is like being asked "what kind of race car do you have" and answering, "they get poor mileage."
I owned five at one point (two Colts, two Kimbers, and an early DW), but I'm currently down to one...and I'm fine with that. As much as I love the platform, I find that there are other guns I'd much rather carry on a daily basis and/or use to defend my family/home. My 1911 stays in the safe (unloaded) while an M&P goes on my hip every day.
Life is too short to waste time on guns that need "tinkering" to operate properly.
You may want to turn off the computer once in a while and spend some time working on your reading comprehension.
Stasher, how about you take some time to think about the relavence of you bashing the platform with your answer. The OP asked for how many one owned, not your opinion of them. Why don't you take your own advice?

Sounds like the first two Springfields I bought back in the early 80's for $250 each. They came in a plastic bag like you describe, and you had to assemble them. They were the best of all the Springfields I owned. Back then, they still made them pretty much to GI specs. To bad they strayed as time went on.got a bag o parts with everything included for $350 yesterday
Hmm, I'd trade my LB P2 for your DW Valor! Wait! You want one more; and so do I... Never mind Shoot66! BTW, The Valor is very good looking and very nice shooting! I do want one!I have just one right now (DW Valor). I would like to add a Les Bear P2 soon.
None. I've never owned one and probably never will. The capacity is too low and the weight too high for this platform to be of any practical use to me. I do think they are pretty and they make great range toys but I don't buy guns as decorations or playthings.
