It seems that 4 of every 10 pistol owners own more than 10 pistols. I'm surprised it is so many but since I am in that category I guess I'm not surprised a lot. You get one you always want another.

2 1/2. Beretta 92, Taurus Mil Pro, and a SIG on the way. If you consider that I bought the 92 in March, I'm running about 1 new every 2 months (all with holsters and extra mags) I'm beginning to bump up against my wife's limit of acceptability. So I took her to the range and gave her the Taurus... she took a photo of her new gun to post on FB, and I'm down to 1 1/2, but back in business.

I am totally not in the majority here :)

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Get down to the gun shop and pick up another gun. Ruger made 1,000 limted 44 special Vaquero, 3 5/8 barrel. They have never made a 44 special before. Go buy it to go along with the HK P30 you need.

Looking at the poll I can't believe some people own none, what's wrong with them. :) Don't they know how fun they are to shoot?

I own not nearly enough: 7 But, I have only been a gun owner for about 4 years and I have a wife that is so tight with money she squeaks when she walks. ;)

It seems that it is time to get your wife to the range for some fun time...

Two is one and one is none....take it from there

I don't know! It seems that one is 10 and 2 is twenty by this poll.

If you have a lot more than you thought, does that mean it's time to stop buying or buying more..... or if you have an odd number does it mean it's time to get one more?

Is it OCD if you just HAVE to have at least one in each caliber? Or two?

If you have one that you haven't shot in a year but it's not really a safe queen, is it time to trade it for another or two?

So many questions, not enough guns.... :what:

I don't think so. To me it sounds like a practical thing to do. That said at the moment I only have 9mm and .22 handguns.

I try, but she hardly ever wants to shoot. I try to tell her she just hasn't found the right gun yet, hence we need to buy some more.

Nearly 500 votes. Anyone else? Still at 40%+ for the +10 crowd. Impressive...

You're going to bias your results posting here instead of General since more folks with no handguns are likely to stay out of here.

THR is likely to have more people with more of anything than the general public.

Even with those assumed biases, I'm impressed by the percentage of members with 10+ firearms.

I have 13 handguns. I participate in modern and vintage military, black powder cartridge, never give away a gift, and sometimes buy a gun just for funsies (to answer the question, is that gun as good or bad as people say). I have only two I think of as weapons (full size Ruger Security Six and a snub .38).

My wife has one handgun for self defense only, another snub .38.

I am not sure, all I know is that my wife has more shoes and thats just not fair.

Tell her she can get a new pair of shoes if you can get a new gun! Win/win!
