There's a really interesting site done by a Russian woman who tours (illegally) the Chernobyl area on her motorcycle. If you go here:

you'll also find a link to the part of her site called 'The Serpent's Wall'...this is where she talks about digging up WW-II guns, ammo, etc.

If you like this kind of stuff (and I do), be prepared to spend some time here.
 
I've read on avarage one French farmer a year is still injured by ploughing unexploded weapons in fields in France.

Even here every few years an unexploded bomb is still disturbed by building work in London.
 
For instance, here is still a lot of stuff. Like a old lady finding few dozens of mortar rounds while doing the back garden. Or a tank cannon that was under the grain elevator. Or the T34 tank in german markings pulled out from a lake in some peat bog. Or pieces of planes, like armament, or this baby (ok, it's not in working order, but with a bit care makes a good mantle piece:

Not mentioning the mines, german sticks (potato mashers), handguns etc
