How many different 1911s does ARMSCOR make? THE ARMSCOR REP. TOLD ME THAT ARMSCOR NAME WILL NOT BE on the new 1911s slide but will show RIA. the Charles Daly is also made by ARMSCOR.? Is the CD the better choice?
Armscor makes Armscor, Rock Island Armory, and High Standard pistols at their plant in The Philippines. Armscor also makes frames for STI pistols made in Texas.
The Armscor branded pistols are not imported into the US.
They no longer make the Charles Daly 1911's, and I have no idea who is going to make those in the future, or who will warranty the existing CD 1911's.
I don't know anything about the High Standard line, such as who imports them or warrantees them, and I've heard they also have 1911's made in Texas from an second manufacturer.
Just my opinion, but I think the RIA's are the best bet. They're very good baseline pistols with a great warranty provided by the importer, Advanced Tactical of Pahrump, Nevada. I have three of them.

The new steel Charles Daly 1911's are being made by Bul in Israel, the same producer who makes the excellent polymer framed 1911's for us.
As for who will warranty the Daly 1911's made by Armscor? Charles Daly will, of course. I don't know why you would think that we would not warranty them.
