About anything I can touch could be used as an unconventional weapon.

Types of weapons? Look around you, see that ashtray, that phone receiver, that pen, that rolodex, that lamp, that fan, that set of keys?

How many types of weapons do I own? Everything I own or touch can be used as a weapon. Toilet paper roll? You bet. Some will be more efrective than others of course.

Hmm, should we just include dedicated weapons or stuff that has other manufactured uses that were bought with perhaps a dual role in mind?

Dedicated weapons:
-Several firearms: semi-auto rifles, pistols, revolvers, lever rifle, bolt rifles, blackpowder revolver
-Three knives. Just bought the third today, a really pretty Bokker Bowie knife with a stag handle, more to look at and because I liked it than as a weapon (esp. since one cannot carry a fixed blade knife in MD for defensive purposes).
-Pepper spray

Items that aren't weapons but were bought with that potential dual role in mind:
-One Machette. Kept next to my bed.
-3 D cell Maglite. Makes a nice little club. Kept by my bed, I'll be buying another for the car.
-Golf swing training club. I like this one. It is a quarter length club (with a grip with bumps in the right places to naturally put your hands in the right grip). The thing is it is a quarter length club with a slight bend at the end and a nice little weight- makes a very nice club inside the house.
-Golf clubs if the SHTF while I'm on the golf course or the other kind of range (driving range for those who don't do golf). Really though, only the putter and one or two irons would probably be very effective.
-Baseball bat, for years it was my only effective weapon if someone came in the house.

Soon to come:
-more guns
-more knives
-a camp axe
-a sword or two
-When/if I leave MD and I'm in a state that allows them I might get a telescoping baton and a stun gun.
