How Many Dirty Guns Are Sitting Around Your House?

Depends on your definition of "dirty". Many have been shot some. I don't consider them "dirty". Some have not been shot in years.

Ok, my status just changed from none to 2. Irene gave me the day off so I hit the range, but I've been too busy to clean and now just to beat to do it.

Four, in a dehumidified basement where nothing ever rusts. they'll be clean in another week or so.

None!
Jeff Cooper summed it up best, many years ago, "there is no excuse to let the sun set on a dirty weapon." I think we can be pretty sure Cooper never sat on a jungle floor for a week during the monsoon.........:)

I try to clean right after shooting, what I am not so good about is checking on guns I haven't shot in a while.

I give everything a wipe down with oil within a day of shooting. Thorough cleaning happens right away when i've shot corrosive ammo, otherwise at times i've let things slide with cleaning a gun barrel. I haven't seen a dramatic affect from doing so.

One. Took several guns to the range yesterday. I got them all cleaned last night except my S&W Model-29. It will get a bath this evening.

All of my firearms that are fired get cleaned within 2-3 weeks after a range trip.

I can see two from where I'm setting at the keyboard, and I wouldn't want R.Lee Ermy doing a white glove inspection on any thing in the locker:what:
