High Road of course (And gets most of my time)
CZ Forum
Russian Mosin Nagant Page Forums (Just needs more members)

I go to Ak47.net everynow and then, but its a little too wild over there at times.

OK... Who didn't vote for TheHighRoad? :p

I mostly just hang out here these days. I used to spend a lot of time over on the 1911 forum but made a conscious decision to spend less time there. Sorry Dana, just too addictive. :D

But am a member here, 1911Forum, Pistolsmith.com, AR15.com, MilSurpShooter and several varmint, benchrest and reloading forums. Overall, great group of folks. Some I wish would just disappear, but that's true of pretty much everything and everywhere. I'm a member on GlockTalk but I rarely travel there anymore. I think it's just too... diverse of a groups for me.

I also have been known to go to the BMW section of Roadfly.org

I'm signed up at quite a few, but mainly frequent three;
The High Road
Proshooter
1911 Forum.

Signed up at;
CZ Forum
SigForum
Gun and Games
Brian Enos
Plainman's Cabin
and probably a few more I've forgotten:rolleyes:

OK... Who didn't vote for TheHighRoad?

If you are replying to this thread, would not that be given? :)

I belonged to TFl before the end , then came over here (thanks Oleg and company ) and also belong to the reloading bench.com
and loadyour own.com
and looked at several others now and then but always called this (TFL/THR) home. and made several friends whom I never had met yet but hope to someday when the funds (Aka JOb ) and time allow me to travel to meet them in person . BTW wheres Kansas??
:what:

Interesting question, especially the "why" part.

The High Road - most diverse group of folks I've found (except TFL) and usually can find considered opinions of the widest variety of subjects. Also, good for at least one belly-laugh/day.

1911Forum - my favorite pistol. I'm hopelessly addicted and this forum has a great core of folks with more knowledge than I can hope to assimilate. Good reading and good advice.

Ruger MarkII & 22-45 Forum - went here initially for specific questions about my MarkII. I go back once in awhile to ask other questions. Too many pop-up windows to deal with, though. The format is also not to my liking. But, a fairly good resource.

Marlin Talk - have been considering purchasing a Marlin. Good place for information.

Rimfirecentral.com - if you own a .22, you need to visit this forum. Excellent resource and fun bunch of guys.

HS2000 & SA-XD Talk - have been considering an XD-9. These guys are fanatical about this gun. Very informative.

CZForum - similar passion about the CZ guns. This might be the most civil, friendly forum I've found. And, that's no slam on anyone else. Just to say these guys are very helpful, very enthusiastic about their choice in guns and go out of their way to make newcomers welcome.

Pistolsmith.com - just started visiting (lurking) here. Lots of wonderful technical expertise. If you have a technical question, ask it here.

The Firing Range - of course, this started up right before the demise of TFL and it is a comfortable place to visit. Not a real large group of folks, but a come-as-you-are, take your shoes off and stay a spell type of place.

Tactical Forums - a more over-the-top hard core bunch of guys. Interesting and these guys are serious!

Packing.org - as already mentioned, THE place to go for up to date CCW laws. Usually some good topics to post to also.

Don't forget Yahoo Groups. I belong to 2:

IDPA - just what the name indicates. But, in addition to discussions of competition related topics, a lot of interesting general gun-related stuff, too. I like these guys (and gals) and since I am looking to get involved in the sport, it's fun to lurk here.

Concealed Carry - Probably the most interesting group of folks I correspond with. Every now and then they even talk about CCW! Mostly lots of sit-around-the-wood-stove discussions that are just plain fun to be a part of.

Seems like whenever I get ready to investigate a new firearm I find a forum and visit for awhile. Works for me.

Member of 2, visit about 10, Post on 1.
I do 100 times more reading than posting
When I learn everything I will post more

JOHN

I must admit to spending time on several forums..I was surprised to find so many different places to learn things about my favorite firearms..There are some new places that are interesting and some that are so new that they could use some of the nice people that spend time here to try to create some thing good there..One such place is the Team Bomar forum [www.teambomar.com].. I think it could be an interesting place..

I got the nickname from making an AR15 lower from a solid casting before the 80% recievers came about. It looks ugly but shoots good.

I apologize for the lack of choices I could have gone as high as twelve of them , but just didn't know the names of that many
it is a great adaptation of free speech don't ya think?:)

TFL
THR
GlockTalk
TheGunSpot
Pistolsmith
Assaultweb
KTOG
1911Forums
SigForums ???

I'm pistolwhipped on all except SigForums. Someone had that handle registerd. hmmmm. I'm Eddie Lee there. Very original ehh.

THR is where I hang out generally (and when I have time). I'm also signed up for the following forums that I check out occasionally, especially when I have particular questions or am looking for something specific:

ar15.com
gun-talk.com
huntingbbs.com
straightshooters.com

TFL I still use a bunch.
THR (mostly)
TAC ( I lurk)
Belong to some others, but honest haven't logged or lurked in while.

Sven , you do a great job.

OT--I need a suggestion for a computer forum, anything like THR out there?

THR
1911Forum
AR15-com
BrianEnos

But even though I'm registered at others, I only have time to post at one and this is the site that I like the best - The others I use for reference most of the time if I have a specific question I'm researching.

Lurked at TFL for a while but it 'went away' before I registered. THR is the closest thing I've found to TFL.
