Every time that I buy a new pistol, I think to myself...now, now my collection is complete. ;) Then, I see a pistol or revolver that is newer, shinier, more potent, smaller, cuter, hotter, sleeker, more rugged, more useful, more refined, multi-use, longer, shorter, taller, smaller. :( And then I realized...I have never seen a firearm I wouldn't like to own. So, I have rededicated my life to making me happy by acquiring every pistol, revolver and long gun that I can before I die.

The number of respondents to "sixteen or more" surprised me a little. I have fifteen.

Glock - 1
Beretta - 1
CZ - 1
Smith & Wesson - 5
Ruger - 4
Kahr - 2
Colt - 1

I have much more fascination with handguns than long guns. I have only three rifles (two of which are .22s) and no shotguns.

I was thinking this was the revolver forum. Not counting many very old guns inherited from my Uncle, and my 2 Grandfathers, here are some autoloaders that see quite a bit of range time. Also leaving out my Father's handguns, which we share.

Glock 23
Glock 30
Custom built Colt based 1911 in .38 special. No comp, set up for Limited class IPSC
Custom built Colt based 1911 in .38 special. Set up for unlimited with optics, comp, any Much more
Custom built Colt based 1911 in .38 special. Also set up as a "racegun", but this one takes double stack mags...Sweet

Amazingly (or Expensive more accurately), I have belts, holsters, mag pouces, etc. for every gun listed here. The accessories seem to add up almost as much as the guns. Of course ammo prices are becoming rediculous. We load (Dillon) our own reloader, but we are currently only reloading .38 supers. I have a feeling we will be expanding into reloading .40s and .45s. My try some .357 reloading soon

I don't know. More than 16. The only way I know the correct answer is to look it up and I continue to buy more. If someone stole one, I might not know for well over a year. I just don't look at them often.

Actually, quite a few less than I had a year, or two years ago...and I have a few more that I will be selling this year as I continue the process.

I'm getting down to the ones I really like and use--and by that I mean carry or take to the range regularly.

One .22--Ruger MkII
One 38/357--S&W M586, well used
One 9mm--Kahr PM9
Two .45s--Kahr P45, Kimber Ultra Carry

Not to say I won't find something I can't live without it tomorrow...but it might be a duplicate of one of the above :)
