Just curious how many of us have wife's or female significant other that hunts? My wife started when we were dating 35 years ago. When we started shooting archery competively we met many more that shot and some that hunted. I know the numbers are growing and I am all for it. Has been great ,although expensive, having my wife as a hunting partner.

My wife, and her sisters grew up hunting. She doesn't hunt a whole lot anymore, but every now and then she'll come out with me.....for someone who fires maybe 2 rounds a year, shes annoyingly good at shooting game, I've never seen her miss.

My wife has been my favorite hunting partner for 47 years. And we have a beautiful 43 year-old widowed daughter who hunts with our grandsons - her 3 sons. Our other beautiful daughter (40) is the National Special Events Director for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.:)

My wife grew up bow hunting. I introduced her to fishing and she forgot about hunting. Lately she has started talking about hunting again.

My wife don't hunt, but then, I don't sew or quilt, so I guess we're even. :D There are things we like to do together....yeah, that, too, but we like to fish and RV and stuff. :D She's got nothing against my hunting or shooting and she enjoys the game meat. :D

Oh, we're starting a Colorado County chapter of the NWTF. She was elected secretary. LOL! That'll teach her to keep her mouth shut if ANYTHING will! She's never shot anything including turkey, but they needed volunteers. :D

My wife has hunted with me. Upland game, deer, and pronghorn. She doesn't mind it but she doesn't really enjoy it either so now she is perfectly content to stay home. She still shares in my enjoyment and she is a wonderful cook and I still look forward to coming home to her so I guess it is still working for me after 26 years of marriage.

My wife used to hunt with me, and we have fished together for years. She and our oldest Daughter and I went to the range yesterday and shot 9 mm pistol and 22 rifle. She is a good shot and a has caught some big ole bass. She hasn't volunteered to help with the reloading yet, but she would help if I asked her. 54 year anniversary this October. I am blessed.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

My wife hunts and shoots with me. When we first met she had never really fired a gun, but always wanted to learn. I taught her how to shoot and then she started hunting she does very well but doesn't get to hunt as much anymore with us having a young daughter. She will sure jump t the chance to go to the shooting range though.

My wife won't even touch a firearm or bow.......... Except for the blank firing pistol I inherited about 8 years ago. Our property backs up to wetlands on a bay and sometimes the flocks of geese behind the house gets to be too much for her. Geese will make quite a mess out of a lawn as they seem to defecate about every 5 minutes LOL...... I was shocked when my lovely bride who won't touch a gun, but tolerates me, suddenly took to this blank gun for getting the geese to move along. They aren't terrified of it but they don't like it and will walk further away from the house. So now I consider it hers.... I always figured if she ever decided she wanted a gun I'd get her one....... So now she has her very own "goose gun".......... IMG_1758 (2).JPG

A 3” BB load is not exactly small frame friendly but if she dislikes geese it’s the perfect match!

My wife loves to shoot but not hunt. My daughter would hunt with me until she turned vegan. My oldest sister hunts with an AR-10 clone with my BIL.

MamaTerror is an accomplished marksman herself, and gets more excited about scouting and hunting than I do. She's a much better shot than I am, just not as fast on target acquisition and transitions. Shown below practicing the PRS Speed Skills stage with a 22LR, 100yrds on 3" targets, 25 and 50yrds apart (the RX'd stage is centerfires on 12" squares at 400yrds, also 25 and 50yrds spaced). Savage Mark II BSEV, restocked and bedded into a Boyd's Pro-Varmint, Nightforce rings and rail, FFP Bushnell LRHS 4.5-18x with G2H reticle, for those interested. Coons, coyotes, dove, pheasant/quail, turkey, whitetails, and elk, and we have a pronghorn vacation planned for this winter. The only thing she won't condone is duck hunting, since about 7yrs ago she fostered a pair of orphaned ducklings she found beside the road - their mama having been hit by a car - until they were able to be released. Doesn't bother me much, I hate setting up decoy fields and freezing my butt off in waders.

I drug my ex fiancé out once. Bad move. When she wasn't on her phone, she was complaining about everything from the weather to the deer stand to my "cheap Savage". When she went back to work the next day she told an employee "Savages are cheap garbage". She works at Casino. A Native overheard her and she had a hell of a time explaining her way out of that one.

My last girlfriend pretty much begged me to come along. Never complained once. Just cuddled up in the stand. Never hunted in her life. When I shot a buck we went up to it and she had been holding my hunting knife and said "do i just kinda poke it in the belly and take out his insides?" Lol, she was a keeper.

..... That would be a nice match if she wanted to kill 'em...... But she'd never shoot the poor things for real. I'd love to have a video of her out there with that blank gun "shooting" at them. At least she gets 'em further away and the back lawn isn't so messy.
