I am very excited to find out that we have female members. I had assumed that we were all male (hard to tell from the Internet). My wife is my best friend and shooting partner and it's great to find out that other people share this bond in there relationships. How many female gun owners are out there? Why don't I see more threads such as Went to the range with my wife or pregnant and concealed carry. Ladies spread the word and encourage all your friends to try the shooting sports. :) :) :)

Hey, not to be a jerk, but maybe you simply hadn't been paying much attention before? :D :D :D

(Tell your wife to come visit my site, eh? www.corneredcat.com -- the folks on THR have been a lot of help to me as I've developed that site.)

pax, your website is bookmarked and I will let my wife know about it. I did a brief visit there and I found the it very interesting. I will pay more attention in the future. Thanks for the link. :)

Present and accounted for!:p I think I've been on THR for about 7-8 months now.

Beyond being a poster on gun forums, my experiences go a lot deeper. I am the only female leader of Ohio's foremost gun rights organization. ;) I'm probably the most well known female 2A lobbyist in the Statehouse by the legislators. I am also a certified NRA basic pistol instructor, instructing CCW classes in central Ohio! Soon, I'll be instructing Personal Protection Outside the Home classes, truly an advanced CCW class!

Oh, and I love to shoot my Colt .45!:D

And on occasion, I've been known to write some fairly decent articles. Pax posted one of them on her website. Here's my latest:

I suspect a lot of female users might be hiding behind ambiguous pseudonyms, to avoid the attention of Internet-nerd type lonely guys.

Without women shooters, we are doomed. I sometimes cringe at some of the remarks on an open forum.

yet another

My husband isn't very interested. He however doesn't mind if I go out to shoot paper people.

Pax is a girl?

I never would have figured that one out on my own.

Not that it matters or anything, it just took me by surprise.

Apparently I too have had my head in the sand.

my wife's a member here, she just doesn't post much.

she shoots a lot though. my ammo bill , reflects that.

That would be my wife too. She posts here from time to time as "CajunsMisty" but I assure you she not only shoots, she shoots well.

For the last two years I've give her a new handgun for Valentines day. She has likewise given me one.

"Nothing says "I trust you and I love you," like giving them a handgun." :D (me)

Might there be a need for a "Girls Night Out" forum?

I agree with Barbara.......NO!

Women who shoot don't like to be singled out, or treated differently, and I for one don't want no girlie guns!!!!!!!!!!!!:fire:

I tried to read and participate in the women's area on one of the biggie forums. I needed duct tape for my head!!!!!!! :banghead: I don't go to a gun forum to hear about their latest hair style, or getting their nails done, or the date last night. There is no need for a separate women's forum!
