I just finished loading 44 Magnum brass. I had boxes which were reloaded 19 times.

I no longer keep track of the number of times I reload 9mm, 38 Special, 45 ACP, and one bag of 44 Special. I could no longer see a purpose.

Some of my nickel plated 38 Specials have been sized so many times they are down to the brass.

Rifle ammunition, that is different, but I took one set of 308's in a M1a 22 reloads. I fired lubricated cases and never had a case head separation. Had neck cracks and body splits due to brass flaws.

I think 10 times in a rifle is probably a conservative and safe limit.

Pistol, load it till the mouth cracks or the body splits.

Another "till it splits" guy here. Most of my "lost" brass gets either damaged by someone stepping on them beyond fixing or just lost.

Rifle I have only gone through one lot of .308. All federal brass and reloaded 9 times before the majority would split at case mouth. Wish I had annealed them a while ago.

If my pile of 50 or 60 1/2" wrenches and pliers are with them send them back to me.

I think I know where all that brass you guys lose winds up...

Well you can keep the cases if you will tell me where the socks are....

Well these are in GOOD company, who ever finds them should have a nice set of tools, complete with several flat and phillips screwdrivers, channel locks, a couple pair of vice grips, assorted sockets in 1/4, 3/8/ and 1/2" drive, not to mention a half dozen different hammers in both claw and ball peen....

The poll left out "or until the primer hole loosens up"
I get a lot of reloads with 9mm brass.

If the primer seats a little too easily, I paint it black, shoot it and don't reuse it.

I voted a while ago and came back and looked. Seems I am with the majority. I have several 5 gallon buckets of pistol brass separated by CAL. When used I clean/size/clean and toss it into the appropriate bucket. When I need some to reload I just grab them and go. This works well for me.:D I think I loose most of mine first however instead of wearing them out.

Yeah I have some 38 SPL brass that has all the plating worn off except for where the stamping is on the head.:D
