How many whitetails can you take where you live?

Hey Loyalist Dave, you can take 2 antlered and 10 antlerless in region B per season, bow, muzzleloader, and firearms. So, that makes 6 and 30 per year, except for the unlimited doe with a bow or crossbow in some counties.

If your are willing to travel, you can go to Region A and take one and one per each of the three seasons. Then go to the eastern shore and take up to six Sika deer. But that seems a bit obsessive.

we have a few different types, you can get a general tag which is good for a whitetail(either sex) or a mule deer(buck only). if you get the general tag then you cant get a second tag but if you get a whitetail tag(either sex) then you can apply for a second whitetail tag(doe only) and if you enter the drawing for the idaho super hunt then you get another tag that is good for any big game animal in Idaho so you could theoretically get 3 whitetail, though I would probably try for a moose or big horn instead.

How many deer?

I saw some guys post about Pa. and it does vary according to where you live and what the Pa Game Commission thinks the deer population is in the various game management areas.

In Southwest Pa. I can take 1 antlered deer per season (actually, you can only take 1 throughout the state).

Dependent on where you live, the buck has to have either 3 on one side or 4 on one side. In Allegheny county, which is quite populated, you can harvest as many doe as you want to buy tags for, BUT you are limited to using a shotgun only. My house borders a fairly affluent community and I can only use a bow. ( We have a 150 yd safety zone around occupied buildings for long guns and 50 yds for bow).

This shot was out of my back window. I had permission to hunt about 500 yds from my house till the property was sold. These deer and turkey travel through that area. The 2 doe looking back are watching my wife unloading groceries about 15 yds away ( I did help after shooting this :) )

I hunt Texas and Oklahoma and can kill a total of 6 deer in OK. Here in Texas, I get 8 LAMPS doe tags and am allowed a two buck, but one of the buck has to have one unbranched side (ie spike or three point).

Missouri has unlimited does. Total of three bucks 1 with rifle, 2 with bow . I try to get 10 per season.
I usally quit with 10 because I'm sick of processing them.
All you can eat in MO? We need to put them on a train and ship them to the west coast. They only sell 3,000 buck tags in San Diego for the year, and 300 doe tags. Its like winning the lottery just to be able to get a tag here.

One.

It sucks, as I do like venison. The laws are such that one can only take one of each big game species they are lucky to get drawn for. That's why I'm concentrating on hunting outside of my home state next year.
