Looking at guns the other day I chanced to look at the SIGs. As I held a p226 and a p239 in each hand I realized that there really isn't much of a size difference. If a p239 is concealable then a p226 shouldn't be much harder (ok, ok, I understand if you are going for a "tuckable" gun).
The Springfield XD service model doesn't look that hard to conceal. Opinions?
Even the full size CZ 75B didn't look like it would be that big of a deal in a proper holster.
I am a wide shouldered 5'10" 255lbs. People usually think I am 220ish. If I can conceal 35lbs of flesh than I am pretty sure I can conceal most any handgun (especially if I drop back to 200lbs).
It seems that weight is a bigger issue than size for carry purposes.
I think I am going to get an XD for normal carry and I still have my trusty J frame for those more "formal" occations. I'll get another 1911 when I am better off financially...~Nathan

Regardless of what your wife or girlfriend might tell you, size does matter.:)

I'm only 5'10" and 200 lbs, normally carry BHP's, tried to carry my Witness Match for one day but those few tenths of an inch made a huge difference. When I switch over to my Bersa .380 on occassion it's like it isn't even there.

the size of your weapon is just half of the question....the most important half...is a quality caliber that you can carry. Granted, you must have it...to use it...but if you must use it, it better be suited for the task.
