How much for FFL Transfers?

Closest guy to me is $15. Two good shops in York are $20. High priced shop is $25 and charges a couple bucks for "state fee". MD dealers seem to start at $40. That's insane;)

I've only ever done an FFL transfer one time, so far. The only local gun shop that I've asked charges $40. I used a home-based FFL who lives not far from me who charges $25, I think that's a reasonable fee.

If anyone knows any in the Las Vegas area for a good price PM me. :p
almost all i have seen are 50+ then add on the 20 dollar background check fee. :( i will probably be needing one in a week or so. the firearm is legally an antique, manufactured 1897, but the guy is paranoid and wants to go through a FFL.

I charge $50 which includes the background check. Don't like it? Can find someone cheaper? Go for it, bubba.

An FFL friend offers it to anyone for $20.

Personally, I'd charge whatever the difference between the buyer's price and what he'd have paid for it if he bought it from me.

Reminds me of the tool my father met a decade ago who wanted to trade industrial chemicals over the internet. Our answer? "Fine -- but you will pay the spot price on each transaction." Squelched that.

Wow! A perfect example of what is wrong with California. I have not actually even HEARD of prices that high. Around this area, they get up to about $25 max.

I am awaiting a gun to be shipped as i speak...$20.00 to my FFL and the sender is not even using an FFL to ship from.
No way am i going to get raped for 75-100.00 for a FFL transfer.

Most places around here charge $25. Several charge $10 but are a little out of the way. I get mine at one of the $10 places. You will find the cheaper transfer places are usually the best place to buy guns and anything gun related, if the dealer needs $50 or more to make a 5min phone call everythiing else is probably priced beyond reason and your better off to either find a cheap place to transfer and buy or do all your buying at gun shows.

I was quoted $150 from a place near Valencia, CA. I believe they are saying they aren't interested in a new customer and try to force you to buy an gun from them at their inflated prices. I won't buy turn over $1 to them ever.
