How much free brass is enough to share

i wish i could go to that range! i have picked up 9mm brass and even reloaded it for a couple of guys i know here who have guns for it... i need .357 magnum brass right now...........

I think .357 shooters don't discard their brass lightly ;)

At least, I rarely see any. I have found just a few .357 cases (and a lone .357 Sig, too), but when I build up to something near 50, I'll gladly send them to someone. Might be a few years ;)

If I owned a .357 revolver, though, I think I'd be shooting .38s through it 98pct of the time anyhow ;) Until two months ago, I didn't know how nice .38sp is to shoot through a nice heavy revolver (or at all, for that matter).

yep most of the loads i shoot from my s&w model 27 are .38 spl reloads with mild bullseye charges.... but evry once in awhile it feels good to shoot a good heavy .357 magnum load too..... i bought enough once fired .38 spl brass at gunshows to last my lifetime and probably my grandsons lifetime too....... it is pleasant to shoot mild target loads from the heavy magnum revolver!

well as a few may know i recently acquired a decent amount of used reloading equipment as well as a large quantity of brass and bullets. I know for a fact that alot of the brass is not going to be useable to me since i neither have nor plan to purchase guns for the calibers I have. Over the next few days I will sort and count out what I have and post it up for trade, sale, etc. I know I have alot of pisol brass. I know i have 44 mag, colt 45, 38 special, even some 50 cal pistol brass and bullets. Like i said, i'll post up what i have once i get the chance to sort it all out

I'd be willing to pay for some .30-30 or .32 Win Spec brass. I know that someone else has expressed an interest in .30-30, but I'm willing to share with them. ;)

Good on you for picking up after yourself and others. I always teach my kids, "Leave it nicer then the way you found it."

Jeepmor,

Good for you, as you can see from the posts, reloaders are a varied lot and are always seeking bargains. To answer your original question, just about any caliber you can get your hands on someone will reload. IMHO, you can't go wrong with the common calibers of .45ACP, 40S&W, 9MM, and .38 Special/.357 in handguns and .223 Rem. and .308 Win in long guns. Also, the post office has flat rate shipping boxes in different sizes so you can ship as many as you can get into the box for one price.

Once fired brass is a terrible thing to waste!!!!

Hey jeepmor, I'd like some 45ACP brass. I use a lot of it. PM me & we can make the connection.

Hi all, Jeep you have started something now, so get ready. I think this is very generous of all of you offering brass. Please don't scrap it at the recycle yard. There is a new forum just for swapping brass. The web address is:
http://ammobrasstrader.com/forums I hope that this helps some of you find the needed bright yellow shiny things that you need. Hey Nitesite send me a PM.

Party pooper!;)

Of course I'm a member there.:D

Okay folks, I did not subscribe to this thread and it's been a while.

I will scrounge what I can and offer it for reloading to others when I get enough to warrant the bother of shipping. I'm putting that number at 50 for pistol brass and 20 for rifle brass.

Currently, I don't have enough quantity of anything to warrant sharing at this time. And I will be saving some for myself as I come across it for I have the following calibers myself. Here they are 300WSM, 270, 223, 45acp, 40 s&w, 9mm and 10mm.

I lucked out recently while on a woods vacation in SE Oregon and found someone's spent 30 rounds or so of .223.

I have some 357 mag right now, but only a few pieces, maybe a couple cylinders worth, if that. I occasionally run across the 357sig, but I suspect I'm only getting what they miss. They likely run off with my unfound 10mm flingings themselves.

I'll make a point next time to grab more of everything reloadable and post to share when the quanitities warrant such.
