I live in the People's Republic of Maryland so I've never been able to carry. Last summer I got my Utah Non-res carry permit which will allow me to carry in my neighboring states, but of course, not in Maryland. Anyway, I'll be taking a few trips into Pennsylvania this summer and need to know how to carry the gun when I'm in the car. Does the loaded gun have to be visable? Can it be in the closed console or glovebox until I exit the car?

Thanks for any help you folks can give.

On the assumption that your Utah non-res is honored in PA, there's no particular requirement to do anything in particular.

Having an LTCF, I just keep my loaded gun in my holster or glovebox.

Without a permit, the situation gets nuanced, but unloaded, cased and trunked is a great place to start.
