Howdy all,

I'm a reservist in an Israeli Army infantry unit and I live in the states right now. I recently purchased a mosin nagant 91/30, and I want to convert it into a sniper rifle to take back to Israel with me when the next war hits. I have every intention of killing terrorists with this weapon.
I want to equip this rifle with a flash suppressor, bent handle and a picatinny mount that will allow me to mount day/night optics. Some people are calling me crazy for attempting this, but I like the mosin nagant and if Visily Zeitsev can kill dozens of nazis with it then I can take out some terrorists with it as well.
Please feel free to give me some advice! What kind of scope should I get for it? Can I mount a bipod on the basic wooden stock? How much will this all cost?

Thanks for any input,

I know it's not what you want to hear, but for what you want, I would recommend something more like a .308 AR, or almost any modern hunting rifle.

I'm not sure why you'd go through all that trouble for a mosin.

the most you ever want to spend on a mosin is the original purchase price, and even that sometimes is a little too much.

can you tell me why you bought a mosin over any other rifle?

I think the Israeli military is still in the habit of issuing weapons to its members.
