How to remove copper deposits from muzzle brake/suppressor mount?

Been wiping it with hoppe's no. 9 but doesn’t seem to be having much effect. Tried a bronze brush, no effect.

crusty carbon/copper deposits.
 
The Black Label Hoppe's is better for copper, but I second the suggestion for Sweet's 7.62 Solvent. You could pull the brake and soak it, or stand the upper in a tumbler filled as high as the brake with solvent.
 
Ultrasonic cleaner and some degreaser for the carbon.

Coat freely with sweets for the copper.
 
I have been using stainless steel brush and what ever oil I happen to be standing closest to.

I take my Stanley knife and just scrape it off. Works very well and is very quick.
