It doesn't matter. People who aren't used to carrying a gun will tip you off, quality holster or not. The weight feels strange at first and then as they become accustomed to it and then don't notice the weight, they continually touch it to make sure it's still there. Most people do this unconsciously and will deny doing it until you show them video
Does this really matter? I check myself all the time, my keys, my wallet, my pocket knife, my cell phone, the pen that may be in my pocket, the digital camera, whatever else I may be carrying, I'm always checking myself. It's habit, and you can't tell whether I'm checking a gun or a phone.
I'm guessing most people do this, actually, rendering alot of these cues meaningless.
This is exactly the reason I choose to wear the simple Helmet Cannon:
It's fashionable, discreet, and delivers one hell of a punch. There's no limping, no bulges, and no one can tell you have one. Just simply face the threat 'head-on' (that part's important) and bid them a fond farewell. The only drawback is the recoil. Every genius idea has a couple kinks that need working out, but don't let that spoil the surprise of your hapless victim.
the only issue I have when I carry is that I usually carry my wallet in my front right pants pocket. When I carry, I swap the wallet for a snub in a pocket holster. I've caught myself many times when buying something reaching for my gun thinking it was my wallet. Not the best thing in the world to be inadvertently holding up a store when trying to buy something.

I often do the "fondle check" when I am carrying a wallet holding a large amount of cash. One thing I do catch myself doing when carrying OWB is occasionally checking to make sure my shirt hasn't ridden up over the holster.
Here's a bit more detail on the ultimate concealed carry gun hat:
Note that the top portion does double duty as a frying pan for those of you who question it's practicality.
The trigger is pneumatically operated via a blow-tube. Lets hope the dude wearing it doesn't develop a nagging cough...
I find that the deep concealment holsters (deep in the waistband. 2 o'clock) on small weapons, are the most unintrusive and the least needed for check.
