I'd like to get the trigger group out of my Browning 52, but I've never disassembled a bolt action rifle beyond what's necessary for cleaning.
I see there are two screw that hold the trigger guard. There are also two large screw heads visible on the tang. Is removing these four screw all that is necessary to seperate the the stock and action?
Is there a way to drop only the trigger group, or do I have to take the action out of the stock, and then remove the trigger group from it?
If I do this, are there any spring-loaded parts that are held in by the stock that I might have trouble reinstalling, or is it pretty much a drop-in design. Is there a specific torgue value to reinstall these four screws, or is the spec just "hand tight".
Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated
