You should dump the PD and M43. 45acp and 40S&W are no good anymore. A 9mm does everything just as well or better than 40 or 45.

First the Firestar M43 IS chambered in 9mm. And I'll keep my M40 chambered in 40 S&W since it is one of the most accurate compact pistols I own.

Second I am not biased nor prejudice against any caliber. I like having choices. I EDC everything from 380 up to 45ACP and everything in between.

Third. I have actually used both 45ACP and 9mm in combat. When stuck with having to use ball ammunition, Ill stick with the 45.

Wow.... thats a lot of guns. Your body must be covered in holsters!

FBI says 9mm is best and they are always right and never lie.

I think you misunderstood my post. I was having some fun with all the internet wisdom I have read. I am thinking about going 50AE. If 10mm is so good 50AE for defense would be like three times better. Just do away with the whole multiple hits, faster follow up shot stuff all together. Capacity isnt all that big of deal either. Joking of course.

I carry ball ammo every day. It works fine for me.

I have two of the Llama mini 1911's. One is in 22lr and one is in 32ACP. I'm happy with both of them. I like having the grip safety in addition to the thumb safety.

Proven the best for insurrections and PTA meetings in the last year ! Yeah you can really trust those folks , cough cough :(

All these Stars and no Monster Megastar 10mm? ……
……..
…….
.

Ask and shall receive……. well, sort of.

I’ve been looking for a 10 mm Megastar since they were released. No luck. I’ve seen a few online inflated to crazy prices, no thanks.

I did snatch this 45 acp Megastar up about 15 years ago for a fair price.
Spare mags are rare and fetch $100-150.

This is one fat grip, the only thing that I have which is bigger is my Desert Eagle.

There it is.... The Monster..... Nice gun. The 10mms are crazy priced now. At the time they came out they were one of the only 10mms that could handle full power. I have a few mags for the 10mm as well as the 45 but no pistol yet. I will end up with the 45 eventually. Call it my Spanish Mark 23. Dont be underwhelmed with the 45 version. I doubt you will ever have a major component failure. Minor parts may go but your frame, barrel, slide should hold up to anything you throw at it. If they can go full power 10mm they will laugh at 45acp.

They are heavy but accurate and soft shooters from my memory. I think the last one I shot was around 2003. Feels like your holding an ergonomic desert eagle. Sissies in skinny jeans need not apply to the Mega! It helps to implement isometrics into your workout routine for increased accuracy. CCW wise you can carry on the hip until you get pelvic tilt. Shoulder holster works until you become a hunchback.
