How's the accuracy of milsurp "pulled" bullets?

I'm thinking of getting some pullued milsurp bullets from Hi-Tech Ammo, for plinking rounds for my .308 and .223 rifles.

Anybody use them? Is accuracy satisfactory? Or am I gonna wind up trading these away for something more accurate?

Pulled mil-surps are OK for general plinking and may even be good enough for some close in small varmint fun. You might find them as accurate as some of the factory bullets. Just kinda depends on the mood of the poor sap making 5.15 an hour for pulling them.

If you are shooting a 2-3MOA rifle and not really concerned with excellent accuracy, then they will be fine. However, if you have an accurate rifle, you can save money with milsurp brass, and you can save money with milsurp powder, but you want to buy quality commercially made bullets.

I used the 147 grain pull downs in my Garand and M1A for years.
I shot 100 and 200 yard High Power matches with them using H4895 powder and military cases.
Loads and rifles were much more accurate than I was.

My best groups were two rounds touching at 200 and three rounds in one and three quarter inches at the same distance. Both shot from prone with a tight sling.

I didn't shoot them in longer range matches since there were none in my area.

For hunting I substituted 150 grain Remington Core-Lokt pointed soft points. Accuracy was the same.

Was point of impact the same? I use a 150gr. hunting bullet now. If the 147gr's would shoot NEAR point of impact for those 150's, life would be good.
