Has Anyone sent a revolver to the S&W Performance Center to have work done on it? I have a Model 28-2 and I wanted to send it to them for the Master Revolver & Restoration packages. Wondering if anyone has any feelings good/bad about work done.

So far I have had the Master Revolver Action Job done on two revolvers and I am pleased with both of them. The guns are a 4" 325 and a TR 22-4, both N frames in .45ACP. The Model 22-4 came back especially nice, with a sweet trigger -- very smooth. The 325 is also good, but not as nice as the all-steel 22-4.

They also did a great job on my wife's Model 457 autoloader.

I have pretty much decided to send it in, but wanted to get some feedback from someone who had work done with them.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Deanimator...why would you say that??
Has there been a problem before?
I sent them my 29-2. When it came back, it had two deep cuts on the barrel from their negligent use of a tool or fixture. It's still being disputed. It's been going on since June.

I have never had a problem with S&W. Taking pictures before sending the gun in is not a bad idea. I would also include copies of the pics with the gun. I did have a problem with a brand new car that was scratched during a state inspection. The dealer denied it, but luckily an older gent who witnessed the whole thing was willing to tesitfy on my behalf. After that, any time I had service done (different dealer), I walked around with the service manager and had him sign a statement indicating the car was flawless. Too bad we have come to this.
