My boys and I concentrate on the 22's right now, but not the exotic stuff.

We will dump about 300 downrange depending on the 22 gun or rifle we bring.

Then we break out the bigger stuff for quality filler.

The words "enough ammo" is quite subjective. To some, there is no such word as "enough".

I have plenty of everything and components to make a lot more so I am good to ride it out a while and still get my shooting time in.

The only thing I was really low on was .22 ammo and that was taken care of with a nice size back order that just came in last week so now I'm back above 2K on that.

If the ammo crunch is still on in another year I will start to cut back on range trips.

I got caught 4 years ago. While I didn't have to stop shooting, I had to ration myself. I was low on several key reloading components and couldn't easily replenish them, at least not at decent prices.

I spend the last 4 years building my component inventory up so I wasn't caught again.

I just didn't see it affecting .22 LR.

This year i will fire 10-12 thousand rounds of centerfire pistol and rifle ammunition. With the exception of rimfire ammo, 95 percent of my ammo is reloads. Many years ago i started buying up ammunition, bullets, primers and powder when the prices were right: There is a huge stock on hand. i have enough .22 LR and .22 magnum to outlast the scalpers and hoarders.

Still have tens of thousands of small rifle and large rifle magnum primers from the "Clinton has mandated self sterilizing primers" scare. :D

1 day before the election I put in a $3000 ammo order. I have since sold half of it and that paid for the whole order:what:. 22LR, .223, 7.62x39, 7.62x54r, .308, 9mm, .45acp and .30 carbine. I covered my bases.:D

For the most part I have a very sufficient supply of all ammo for firearms I own, with exception for 45Colt. I recently acquired a Ruger Vaquero Bisely to go along with my reproduction 1892 Winchester. Started out with 4 boxes but love shooting these so much that I am now down to 1 1/2 box, now looking at starting to reload again. One year ago I purchased an adapter/change out bolt for the AR to be able to shoot 22LR, but now with 22's being sold at such a premium I hate to say I am sitting on the last 500 I have until the madness ends.

After the first "panic" I decided that for ever round I shot I would replace it with two rounds, so I'm in good shape, for the next year or so at my normal rate of use. If the current panic keeps up for another 6 or so months I may start to get worried.

I'll be fine if this only lasts a year. I may find myself shooting things I bought components for and never got around to doing load development.

I have 14K .22 LR on hand, more primers than I've ever shot in two years, and lots of components. I also have molds and sizer dies so I can make my own bullets. Powder supplies are good. I'm set on the popular ones and I have powders I bought to experiment with but never got around to it, if I run out of the popular stuff or it gets low I'll get to experimenting.

Then there are the 4 air guns. I need to lay in another 5-10k pellets for that.

Today first trip to the pistol range was great. About an inch of frozen sleet on the ground so the road was passable. I could retrieve my brass and as I tromped around 120 .40 cases emerged from the ground.

I'm down to about 8,000 rounds of .223, 9mm, .40, but I scored a case of .308 168 HP ammo for match shooting so I guess I am ok for now. I also have a couple of thousand .22 LR so I'll dig into that if things get desperate.

I wonder how many of us will start a personal goal to stock up steadily AFTER stuff settles down, so that we can be fully prepared, and even use ammo as a money making tool during the NEXT big shortage................

For all those looking for inflated ammo its at Fin Fur n Feather except .22 lr. They had pallets of 40, 38, 380 and 17 hmr by the front door. They also had 6 cases of 45 acp 4 cases of 357 and at lease six boxes of every odd ball caliber I have seen in a long time including 6.5 Jap.

Plenty of 12 and 20 gauge bird and target shot. 12 gauge buck and slugs are okay.

5.56/.223, can't even fill all my mags.
Enough .30-06 for several years of deer hunting.
9mm, enough defensive rounds to fill my mags. A couple hundred target loads.
A mag full of 6.5 Jap.
A few hundred rounds of .22lr.

I plan on buying a bunch once prices and availability stabilize.

i really dont shoot a lot anymore.when the panic hit in 08 i decided i needed to be more or less a one gun man.or i shud say 1 gun in each catagory man.one centerfire rifle, a 6.5x55 mauser sporter takes care of all my coyote and big game problems. a marlin scoped 22 mag takes care of varmints round the house and garden.ive had it 3 years and still havent shot a box of shells.but have killed many yard varmints with it.and a nice nef single shot 12 ga for nite time varmints. i have other guns that stay at ready but i dont shoot them much.

i know its good to practice and such but i walked out with my fav revolver yesterday and shot a better group than i had in years.hadnt shot that gun for at least 3 years.

I have enough reloading stuff and .22 ammo to keep me shooting as I always do for the next two years before I get worried.:) Then I might begin to slow down on consumption.
