I guess it would be OK. I am happy with what I have but always looking for another. Would like a really nice Colt Series 70 gun in 9mm. Been slow on guns this year as in the process of having a garage build and there was a sweet Harley Davidson 92 Electroglide Ultra I couldn't say no to, I just got it over 6,000 miles. Not a real good year to mention to my wife another gun. :) Retired is sweet but... the bucks are not what they were either. :) Maybe for Christmas I can grab another gun.

I have owned numerous guns throughout the years.

I have all I want in revolvers, 9 mm, 1911s, AR-15 pistols, combat guns and my FN 5.7 pistol.

I could use getting rid of a 1911 or two.

I have a lot of long guns in 22 LR/WMR, 308, 7mm-08, 5.56 and 6.5 Grendel.

I have a few semiauto shotguns, pump shotgun, muzzle loader.

Then I have my Bubba Built Mosin Nagant in an Archangel stock. Super fun gun.

I also have crossbows, a compound bow, and hunting slingshot.

Doing pretty good on handguns around here...
Lots of S/A and D/A revolvers in every caliber from .22LR up to .44Magnum and .45 Colt.
Multiples of most calibers with the exception of .32...no handguns in the caliber(yet).
Autoloaders in 9mm, .40 and multiples in .45ACP.
Couple of interesting pieces like a shooter grade Luger, a Dan Wesson .375 SuperMag, a couple of other Dan Wessons and a really nice nickel Combat Commander.

Always looking for something new, though.

Like several of you older guys, I have been accumulating guns, primarily handguns, over a very long time...going on 45 years. And I have a lot of them, virtually all ""shooters" despite the fact that some have not been fired in decades. I hoarded them during the Obama years, selling nothing and buying all I could swing. Gifted many to my daughters to the point they have arse

Arsenals as large as most "collectors." Now that Obama is gone, I am slowly weeding out those that have no sentimental or functional value for the moment.

It has been a good run, but now is the time to wind it down a bit.

My collection has been shrinking. I realized I cannot shoot more than one pistol at a time. Some Hollywood types can shoot two but I have not the knack.

Also there's the transferable skills thing. Having guns that are similar in operation and feel now appeals to me, where before I had a mishmash of types.

My collection will probably pretty much remain as is. The only thing I may be adding is a Custom 1911 a friend is selling. Price will determine that decision. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with what I have.

For me, I'm at the point where it's about finding an OK deal on something that strikes my fancy. I've had some on my mental list to acquire and as I've checked them off, others pop up on the list.
In no particular order:
M1911 GI issue - check
M1911A1 GI issue - check
M1911 in 9MM - check Colt 1991, Springfield
M1911 in 38 Super - semi-clones from Llama, Taurus variant
M1911 variants, various manufacturers
I guess I like the platform
Beretta 92 Inox - check
Glocks in 9MM - check
357 Mag DA revolver - check
SA revolver, 45 Colt - check
Colt 1903 in 32 ACP - check
And some others here and there

Still looking for (at a decent price)
Beretta 32 ACP 8x series
Colt 1908 in 380
M1917 revolver US GI
Savage 1907 32 or 380
S&W Victory model
S&W 22LR revolver

I voted in the 0-1 bracket. Though I have seven handguns...the list of "I'd like to have" is somewhat longer than my "already have that" list. I don't think you'd consider me greedy...I think you'd agree there are just SO MANY good choices out there! oh well.

Also....please....don't ask my wife about this. :D

I have had 5 pistols on my list for quite a few years and last year I got 3 of them, a Glock 17L, Springfield Range Officer in 9mm, and a 4" target 38 in a mod 67 Smith. The only 2 left are the Uzi and a Coonan 357. The last 2 are probably not going to be acquired, but I do love and cherish what I have.

Uzi WASNT on my list until I got one.......:)
I found one of the somewhat elusive Norinco model 320s at a LGS for $500- they were only imported for one year and are a direct copy of the Uzi model B. If you can get past the goofy thumbhole stock (or say "nuts" to 922r and replace it with an Israeli one), they are super fun guns which attract a lot of oooohs and aaaahhs at the range. Surprisingly accurate, and reliable if fed a steady diet of hot rounds- short strokes with light target ammo though. I'm currently trying to fine tune the spring rates on mine to make it digest cheaper range ammo.

I probably have more than I need but a few I still want.

I don't own a plastic wondernine.

I don't have a 5.5 inch .44 Mag Vaquero.

I want more Colts in general.

I have way too many handguns and really ought to thin the herd. But I keep meaning to buy a shooter-grade Hi Power, and I want .38 Super and 10mm 1911s, and I've been keeping an eye out for a pre-lock S&W 686 with a 4-inch barrel, and maybe something in a .44 Magnum, like a pre-lock 629 Classic with a 5-inch barrel, and, and, and...

Better grab one of those rough but ready BHPs at Budsgunshop for $300 before they're gone.......

Handguns tend to accumulate for me, if for no other reason than they don't take up much room in my filled to the gills safe. They're also the guns that are easiest to grab for a quick impromptu trip to the range. I used to like the big boomers, but I've grown past that to where I much prefer the mid bores and more moderate loadings the days. Mostly Ruger D/A revolvers and combat tupperware from a few different makers, but a new Sig 226 SAO Legion is a huge favorite and my most recent purchase was a Ruger GP100 10 shot .22. As the old saying goes, more than I need, not as many as I want.

I have a fair number of handguns. However, I find more and more I don't enjoy them so much any more. I like them and have a profound regard for them, but they're just setting around. So I'm thinking of clearing out some of them. Not all, but some.

So I'm in the curious position of having a number of handguns but being vaguely unsatisfied.

Bingo! There are no perfect pistols. I have owned more handguns, I suppose, than my reasonable share. I have shot even more types besides, and I think the answer is to find something that more or less works for you and by dint of practice get used to it.
