This one has been in the works for a long while. I have posted a few pics of this before, but it is in the presentation case winging its way to the customer as I write this. This is one of the more complete HP workovers that I have done and it will truly be one of a kind. Please note the stippled heavy bevel on the slide bottoms, stippling down the center of the slide flats, borders and thinning of the front bushing and stippling and heavy front bevel. Relieved slide stop pin hole, and so on. I will not post the complete build list here. It has all of the good stuff and about a 3 3/4 crisp trigger pull and is a shooter. I am hoping the customer likes it as much as I do. It would have stayed in my safe had it not been already payed for :D :what:

The safety and slide release are from Cylinder and Slide. They have many upgrade parts for the HP. The finish is matte hard chrome done by Tripp Research.

Nice work

What kind of technique is used to stipple those grip patterns? Is that an etch, sandblast, or what?

It is done with a selection of punches and hammer. It really amounts to thousands of strokes with a punch. If you look at my website, there is a DIY section there is a brief section that shows how the stippling is done.

Is this stippling specifically requested by the customers? I've just noticed that there is a lot of it on the guns you've been posting lately.

Yep. Specifically requested. Here is a pic of one that is just about to go out the door that is not GASP! stippled.
