Interested in hunting deer, boar, turkey, rabbit &/or squirrel.
I've actually gone hunting twice - I call it "waiting" now.
I would really like to know more about how to scout and take care of the "post-hunt" things.

    Nobody in Maryland?

I'm in central MD here. Been wanting to try squirrel/deer hunting for awhile, but can't find anyone else who knows how to go about it. I have my own guns (Ruger 10/22 and Ruger MK III stainless for squirrels, SKS for deer) just nowhere to hunt and nobody to show me what to do, heh.

    Anybody able to help out?

Georgia here, I'm no Babe Winkleman, but I am no John Kerry either. [email protected] I have hunted deer for most of my life, and I can tell you this, patience, seat time in the stand, and more patience, is better than any gimmick product they tey to sell on tv.

Only ever hunted/trapped small game--birds in Indiana before. Im back to Idaho after 9 yrs overseas and want to hunt. Never could before due to deployments/getting married.

Will to hunt/kill anything to fill a freezer.

But really looking to hunt Mulies/Elk/Moose/Antalope/

    And up for varmints too.

I can return the favor by taking people out flyfishing. Used to fish SF Boise quite a bit (nearly every weekend) as well as Silver Creek, Billingsly spring Creek and sometimes Big Wood. Just need to see how the rivers have changed and get back in the groove casting/tying flies.

I'm with you 761. I really want to pull some venison out of the San Gabriels next year - but I don't know enough yet.

What you might do is join a local varmint hunters club. There's one in Riverside and another near the 201 / 605 interchange.

I would be interested in hooking up with you. I live near Birch Run and used to hunt near Coral. I haven't hunted much in the past few years, except some wild boar hunting over by Midland. EMAIL me:[email protected]

    Anyone in Las Vegas?

    Hey folks.

My father always said he'd take me hunting/camping and then never did. Now I'm 23 years old and I can shoot, but I don't know a stitch about hunting. I have the required firearms but no one to teach me what the hell I'm doing. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm a new transplant to the Seattle area, having moved here from Michigan.

Most of my time outdoors has been spent hunting mushrooms and trout in northern Michigan, but my goat this year is to ramp up my hunting skills.

I'm 41, and have a new (3 1/2 month old) vizsla pup that I'd like to get out in the field.

I'm thinking of doing some rabbit hunting this weekend, and would love to find a good mentor in this area.

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael
