Right now I am using a Bushnell 4x12 on my .204 (coyote gun) I was shooting it at 500 yards yesterday with very good results. I was just holding over since the turrets on the scope are JUNK. I was looking into the SS MRAD 6x for my .204 I have the 16x on my competition .22lr and love it.

So what do you think of using a fixed 6x scope. (went back today and shot 440 yards on 6x to see if I could see the target. took one shot sitting with my tall bipod. 1st round hit)

I am open to other suggestions.

Here is the link to the scope i want

If you look at the reticle it has half mil hashes and i really like for taking quick longer shots

Buy American.

Where is that stuff made?

China?
That's a helpful response. Actually they're made in the Philippines, and they're a better scope than a Leupold (whose glass is made God knows where, but probably China or the Philippines) in that price range.

The reality is that there isn't and never has been a US optics industry, so the "Buy American" knee-jerk response just doesn't apply here.

OP what is your real goal? What size targets are you shooting with the .204 and at what range? I have one of the 6x SS scopes and for coyotes it would be fine out to 300yds or so. Beyond that or if shooting groundhogs or prairie dogs, more magnification is probably going to be in order. My .204 wears a 6-24x50 Bushnell Elite and that magnification is about perfect for shooting small things out to the effective range of the .204 cartridge. It's a 4200, but is one of what they now call the Elite Tactical line, so it has target turrets and they've proven very reliable.

I have had one of those bushnell 10x scopes. it worked good. But i think for coyote hunting a fixed 10 might be a little much.

Most shots will be 300 yards or less. most of the coyotes i have shot have been 180-250 ish
