On my first time out shooting my SR22, I had a couple failures to feed, the slide would be forward, but it failed to strip a round out of the magazine. I finally figured out that my support thumb was getting too touchy-feely with the slide. The way I tend to hold my glocks, my support thumb sometimes touches the side of the slide while im shooting.
With the glocks it doesn't seem to make a difference, but with the SR22, the friction was just enough to slow that little, light slide down and cause a failure to strip the next round.
I've since tightened up my grip form, and haven't had any problems. I agree that the SR22 trigger feels a little weird, but after I got used to it, it doesn't bother me at all, and the pistol has proven to be much more accurate than I expected.
