So the question was posed to me the other day, the jist being what happens if "The Messiah", in his second term as President, does in fact sign another AWB into law?

All those magazines marked "LE/Government Use Only" became legal for us sheeple to possess when the old ban ended in 2004...considering the next ban WILL be on steroids, with no "grandfathering" clauses whatsoever, will those so-marked magazines become illegal to possess once again?

Well considering there isn't any legislation pending right now no one has any idea what it might do and whether or not there will be a grandfather clause.

Not sure what makes you think there will be no grandfathering. Without grandfathering you will see required turn ins and confiscations, political suicide.

The last attempt, HR1022, did contain a grandfather clause so it's likely that any future attempt will as well.

They know they don't have the political power to require any kind of turn in or start door to door confiscations so grandfather clauses are going to be there if anything comes along.

That said, what HR1022 would have done would require magazines to be sold through FFLs with a background check, just like firearms. Accessories too like uppers, or pretty much anything that makes "evil features".

But in the end it's a guessing game since there isn't anything proposed right now.

Congress has to pass it before the President can sign it.

What we need to concentrate on now is making sure that Congress is full of people that won't pass one. Mid term elections are next year.

Start writing those letters.

Well since it is a guessing game I will make my guess. I think it will depend on how secure the gun grabbers feel at the moment they draft the bill. If they feel immortal politically speaking there will be no grandfather clause, and they'll be coming door to door - at least according the bill. If they feel slightly threatened there will be either a very weak or no bill. It just depends on how much pressure they feel on the gun and other issues. I'm guessing right now we have some measure of safety as the polls show that Obama's numbers are slipping the longer he's in office.

Apparently they're figuring out that blaming the previous administration is only going to work for a finite time and then they have to perform. If they're fixes work on the economy they will be bolstered, and we're in trouble. If the economy continues to languish we're safe.

Makes it kind of hard to figure out what to hope for in a perverted way. I mean I don't like the soft economy, but if we pay that price for another year and a half and get a freedom friendly congress it may be a worth while sacrifice. If the economy goes to roaring we may be in need of breaking the law to assert our rights. Tough choice in a way. At least until you consider the lives willingly given to establish the freedoms in the first place.

You know there is no use in really worrying about it. Whatever will happen will happen you can't control it not even with VOTES. We will just have to wait and see, in the meantime get out and shoot and enjoy it. I may get in alot of trouble for saying this but only an organized revolution will save us now, but i fear that most Americans are too passive for this to happen. ALL POLITICIANS ARE CROOKED,GREEDY, AND HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDAS DEMS AND REPUBS ALIKE. We need a new party, one that remembers what our forefathers fought the brits for. FREEDOM!;)

We need to make sure that the Politicians know that this will lead to a loss of office for anyone that votes for it. POTUS can't sign it into law unless it makes it through the House and Senate--(someone is going to pop off on Executive orders any minute now).

Join the NRA, GOA, JPFO or another pro 2A group it can't hurt.

You can also slap on a wristband and get people asking questions--There is a handy link in my signature!

There really isn't any point to discussing what might be. We could create endless scenarios about what such legislation might possibly contain.

Let's wait until something is proposed so we can have a meaningful discussion.
