I also want a good Plinker 9mm Revolver

If 115gr is used the recoil is going to be less than .357 125gr, but I don't go into a 9mm revolver expecting it to be as comfortable as a .38 in a snub, I go into it expecting it not to be the punisher that .357 is and from many others that is generally their opinion of 9 vs .357 in a revolver: the recoil is there, but it's not .357 levels.
Best summary I've seen.
Recoil in small 9mm revolvers is most manageable with heavier bullets. Not too surprisingly, 147 gr 9s feel a great deal like warmish .38 Spl.

I thought for a second the S&W 986 might fit the bill for you, but turns out it has a titanium cylinder. Just out of curiosity, why would that feature be such a deal breaker? I have the JM 929 and the thing is sweet.
I have a S&W JM 929 PC , i have never understood what the issue is with the cylinder I have never had any problems with it. The 929 is a great gun once you find out .357 bullets are what work best.
