I have no where else to be excited about my arsonal. So I hope its okay to do it here! My collection started when my grandfather passed away in August of 2005. I inherited a Winchester 30-30, (judging by serial number it was manufactured in the early 1920's) and a Winchseter pump action 22. I have bought for a plinker a Walther P-22. It shoots wonderfully. Then my collection grew, when I wanted to get a more high powered semi-auto for personal protection. For this job I decided to get a CZ100, it is so light I cant even tell when I am carrying it. And last but not least by brand new baby my ArmaLite AR-15. It is kindda funny because when I was in the USMC I couldnt wait to get rid of the damn thing. But when I became a civilian again it just felt as though something was missing. So she was added to my collection. Thanks for letting me brag!!!

Welcome.

If I'm judging your screen name correctly, there's two reasons to celebrate.

Additional women shooters are very welcome. My dream gunboard is a 50/50 male female ratio. (And no, I don't mean come-ons and "dating")

And thank you for your service to our country, whatever your MOS was.

Oh no! Stop while you still can! The damn things multiply in the night and then rob you blind. And it only gets worse. Soon, they start demanding you take them out to play and spend even more money feeding them. It's horrible, I tell you.

Welcome aboard. Always nice to see females interested in the sport.

It's not as bad as I might have implied, but for some of us it has become an all-consuming hobby.;)

It's hard to really have fun with the M16 on active duty. You haul it all over the place, clean it, and get to shoot only a couple times per year in quals and live-fire.

But when it's leaning up against your computer desk, you can dry fire whenever you want, take it out to the range and pop balloons, go shoot in a Tactical Carbine match, and buy all manner of doodads to make it fit _you_ perfectly. The current-issue M16A4 might fit the Average LCpl 03, but it sure didn't fit me. I like the A1 buttstock far more, or get adjustable and avoid the whole issue.

Welcome aboard,

-MV (1st MarDiv 2002-2005)

Have had and still have that feeling many times. Keep 'em clean and stock up.

Dump the "former" lingo. You are a Marine, there is no way out of it.

welcome... and no offense, but around here, what you have is not an arsenal, it is a start...

until you outgrow your first real gunsafe, you don't get to call it an arsenal...

(I grew from a safe into making a LARGE walk-in-closet into a fireproof "safe room"...)

I felt the exact same way. I swore I would never clean another M-16 as long as I lived after I got out of the USMC, but now I have this. Its fancy.

Welcome to THR, and thank you for your service to our country. As mentioned, your collection is only the start of a mahvelous addiction. :D

Welcome and it's not an arsenal it's a collection you love. Anyhow pictures are nice if your gonna brag.

Thank you for all your replys. I would love to post some pics but need to find a digital camera. As soon as I get access to one I certainly will. I understand that this is just a small and humble collection. Compared to most of you I am sure that this isnt even a small fraction of what you own. Some day it will be larger and I will out grow my first gun safe. But for now this is all I have. Please keep looking for pics. Also I have decided to change my screen name. If anyone knows how please let me know. I am also hoping that this year I will be able to take my 30-30 out and go deer hunting. It would be my first time. Thanks to all again.
