I am done with Alliant powders!

For the past ten years I have reloaded my 9mm, 380ACP and 38 special ammunition with Alliant powder (Power Pistol and Bullseye). Now I haven't seen any Alliant powders on store shelves or online for over a year.

So, that's it! I'm officially changing all my reloads to Hodgdon propellent (HP 38 primarily). This stuff is available everywhere, seemingly, and it works just as well for my purposes.

Goodbye, Alliant. I'm one less customer for you now. And I have a feeling that I'm not alone.

I don't see any reason to hold it against them as a company; their powders have always been known to be rarer. We're still in the middle of a ammo famine, it depends which area you live and how stocked your stores are going to be. At my local sporting goods store, they have basically every ammo on the shelves but it's all exceptionally over priced.

I myself am struggling to find reloading components, and it doesn't seem to be dependent on company but just by wrong place wrong time.

I have been looking for AR Comp for about a year and haven't seen any anywhere. Thankfully I'm still well supplied with Varget but I really wanted a jug of AR Comp for 120-130 gr .308s. I feel like we're all really getting gouged by the ammunition manufacturers and the sporting goods industry in general and that's who I'm fed up with.

I like having loads for more than one supplier. It seems we get things in cycles. I also have more than 5 years worth of components. So I can wait on prices to stabilize.
