Updating the list from comment that Power Pistol is canister version of BE-84 which is slower burning than BE-86 - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/full-power-9mm-powders.830743/page-2#post-10727788
Yes, BE-86 is certainly very similar burn speed to our Unique(R), and Universal was designed to be a clone of Unique, so if A=B, and B=C, then A=C.

No, Power Pistol and BE-86 are most definitely not the same. Nor is BE-86 just Power Pistol with flash suppressant added. Power Pistol is the canister version of BE-84, which is slower burning than BE-86, which is the canister version of BE-86. They are not that far apart, and the formulations are identical, but the deterrent percentage is higher for Power Pistol (BE-84) compared to BE-86.

Adding W244 as comparable to W231/HP-38. Since Winchester/Hodgdon is likely trying to improve W231/HP-38's performance, my guess is W244 will be slightly slower burning to produce higher velocities and be less temperature sensitive for match shooters looking to meet minor power factor year round.

Looks like Alliant has blended Promo for better metering. Promo used to look like Red Dot with round granules added. Recent containers of Promo show all round granules (No more Red Dot flakes) and C-H 502 micrometer powder measure metered Promo with .12 gr variance (same as W231/HP-38) and Pro Auto Disk is metering with less than .2 gr variance with most drops less than .15 gr variance (down from .2-.3 gr+) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/c-h-502-micrometer-powder-measure-10-drops.834894/

Alliant Sport Pistol was very "comparable" to W231/HP-38 using same powder charge for 9mm 115 gr FMJ to produce accuracy - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/new-alliant-sport-pistol.816514/page-5#post-10598431

Thank you Walkalong for unlocking the old thread and creating this "abbreviated" new thread of old -
https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...-different-labels.797388/page-6#post-10806193

It's been some time (Last update 4/6/18) and based on various members' reloading experiences and range test confirmations over the years, making another update.

Alliant Sport Pistol is looking like it is more comparable to Titegroup/N320 than W231/HP-38, requiring smaller powder charges than W231/HP-38.

BA10 is a lot closer to N310 IME than Bullseye.
Listing updated.

Handloader Magazine's Propellant Profiles, https://www.handloadermagazine.com/propellant-profiles-12, seems to say PowerPro 300-MP, W296 and H110 are all WC296 produced at St. Marks while No.11FS is WC297 (the FS stands for "flash suppressant") but is also produced at St.Marks and the only difference between WC296 and WC297 is the flash suppressant.

Question: Given what's documented here https://www.handloadermagazine.com/propellant-profiles-12 should PowerPro 300-MP be moved from "Comparable/close" to "Same exact" while No.11FS remains in "Comparable/close"?

What's the purpose of a "comparable/close" list of powders seeing as how you still should look up recommended recipes and work up loads for each since they aren't equivalent?

Listing updated - Adding Shooters World Precision Rifle comparable to Varget - https://shootersworldpowder.com/precision-rifle/

"This propellant has a burn rate and temperature sensitivity very similar to Hodgdon VARGET."
Also adding WC680 comparable to A1680.

FYI, Hodgdon acquired Ramshot and Accurate powders - https://hodgdon.com/hodgdon-acquisitions/

And Hodgdon online load data now includes Ramshot/Accurate powders - https://www.hodgdonreloading.com/reloading-data-center
