Identifying same or similar/comparable powders during component shortage

Power Pistol and BE-86 have almost identical burn rate, BE-86 has a flash suppressant and Power Pistol does not.
IMR Target was made to be in competition with Bullseye. Red with Red Dot, Green with Green Dot, Blue with Blue Dot The powder that was supposed to be made to go head to head with Unique was dropped because of some issue that I can't remember.

After last two component shortages, all the reloaders I know tested and transitioned to powders that were more readily available or stocked up on those that weren't.

I look at it as an opportunity to expand my reloading repertoire. :D

IMR Target was made to be in competition with Bullseye
Hodgdon placed IMR Target (#14) in their powder burn rate chart between Bullseye (#13) and Titegroup (#15). Based on my experience, powders listed right next to each other in burn rate charts tended to have similar/comparable burn rates.

Since Target is placed right next to Bullseye and Titegroup, you won't find much argument from me with Target being comparable to Bullseye and I can update the listing as such (Listing updated).

BTW, here's my range test and chrono readings for IMR Target -

The listing was compiled using information provided by powder manufacturers ("Our new powder is similar/comparable to brand X powder" or updated powder burn rate charts, etc.).

When such information was not provided, listing was updated using members' actual range test results. When Sport Pistol was initially released, I updated the listing that Sport Pistol was comparable to W231/HP-38 based on my initial range testing and chrono readings conducted in this thread - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/new-alliant-sport-pistol.816514/page-5#post-10598431

And we got these clarifications from Paul, Alliant/Vista Outdoor -

bds[LiveLife] is spot on regarding the burn speed and charging characteristics of Sport Pistol(TM). It is very close to N320, American Select(R), and Win231/HP 38. Titegroup is a little different, but the P/V ratio is pretty close in 9mm Luger and 40S&W. The charge weights are a bit different with Titegroup, and all of them for that matter.
Over time, additional members' range testing and my subsequent testing showed Sport Pistol required less powder charges to achieve similar velocities as W231/HP-38 and consensus was reached that Sport Pistol was closer to faster burning Titegroup/N320.

Power Pistol and BE-86 have almost identical burn rate, BE-86 has a flash suppressant and Power Pistol does not
As to BE-86, many members raised similar question of where the new BE-86 stood compared to Unique/Power Pistol and clarification we got from Paul was that Power Pistol was slower burning than BE-86 -

BE-86 is certainly very similar burn speed to our Unique(R) ... No, Power Pistol and BE-86 are most definitely not the same. Nor is BE-86 just Power Pistol with flash suppressant added.

Power Pistol is the canister version of BE-84, which is slower burning than BE-86, which is the canister version of BE-86. They are not that far apart, and the formulations are identical, but the deterrent percentage is higher for Power Pistol (BE-84) compared to BE-86.
