First of all, please don't get started on the character of a new CCW holder who feels uncomfortable carrying a piece with one in the pipe. Thanks.
I started out carrying a Taurus Model 85 .38 snubbie. Then I later progressed into carrying a Kel TecPF9 becauser I wanted a greater capacity pistol with a larger caliber. I studied the mechanics of the firing mechanism of the PF9 closely and saw that it was close to impossible to accidentlly fire the weapon unless you intentionally pull the trigger. But for my comfort, instead of a live round in the chamber, I had a snap cap in the pipe. Many months have passed and it still has not accidentally gone off carrying it wherever I go.
Last week, I bought a Sig P220 carry. With that pistol, I felt more comfortable with a round in the chamber. It's SA/DA action makes it "safer".
Just wanted to share.
