I tried. I did.
I resisted for as long as I could. Several weeks, in fact.
It's just that I'm very impulsive. The effort to control it is immense.

But it was too much for me today. I wasn't even looking to buy anything.
I have all the Rimfire I need for a while.
I really don't need another rifle. I hope to sell a pump action from my collection as I've got not real love for the Two Seventy.
I am stocked in components.
I could use a scope, but not till summer.

So, I was looking at jeans for the weeds that pretend to be my children, as if I needed more laundry to do, when I found myself perusing a PSA advertisement. Great deals, many of them. I thought then about receiver sets and wandered over to Schuyler's Arms.

I typed in "Aero" as I've been on a kick for them lately.



After that it went a little blurry. I remember there being fifty dollars off a nitride bolt carrier group and a matched receiver set for two hundred, and then I just felt warm and fuzzy. I don't know how to describe it. It was like oven warmed satin anodizing and liquor. I recall some of it, but, not like I was there?
I know there was a pistol blade and a lower parts kit, I think.

In my stupor I must have stumbled over to Right To Bear. I just met them but they seem nice! They had a Ballistic Advantage barrel, in Three Hundred Blackout, also in nitride, for a hundred bucks. And a free pistol gas tube? I'm not sure.

I should have known better, but the first thing to go is one's judgment...

When I clicked on it, I knew I had just had too much! Everything got all wavy and loud. It was dark, but too bright to open my eyes.
It all started running together like the Pink Elephant scene in "Dumbo".
Culminating in a hot, loud ringing sound...

When I woke up this morning I also had a love note from Brownell's, thanking me for a good night and telling me that a Seekins adjustable gas block would be arriving soon.
I am so naughty...

That's the last time I drink Eggnog without any Southern Comfort in it...

I guess I'll need to look for some dies now, huh?

And a suppressor...

Impact Guns sent me an early black Friday email. Was kinda considering a CZ 455 Trainer, and as SWMBO said, "low and behold there just happened to be one on sale". She was asking, more than stating it. But yes it was, though it had the "rustic" stock, but I don't care about aesthetics. Done and done...and dropped another Benjamin at Tombstone Tactical for three magazines for it. Brownells also sent me a friendly email reminder that my CCI SV ammo was on the way. Take advantage of great prices or am I weak? It doesn't matter...new toy on the way!

I’d been successfully ignoring the Stag Arms emails of sales and 25% off everything “not on sale” all day. And then they had to send one out this evening and put their lowers at $48.....

Midsouth Shooters got me yesterday. Was running low on primers and saw they had 12,000 for 279 and some 22’s on sale. Since it’s only a 30 minute drive and I could save almost $40 picking it up, I took the wife and daughter shopping then went to get my goodies. All was good till we got rear ended on the way home and spent 2 hours at the ER getting checked out. We are fine, as is my van, but next time I think I’ll just have it shipped.
