I had to go to Montezuma (Iowa) today for work. So I could'nt leave before stopping at Brownells. I've been wanting some cocobola grips for my 1911 for quite a while so I decided that I would pick some up. Well, I was in a hurry to get home some I didn't check them before I left. Well I finally get home to find that the grips are two different colors. Not only that, but one of my grip screws was WAAAY too tight and so I messed up the bushing getting them separated so now I need new bushing screws and I either have to mail the grips back and wait until next week to get my new ones, or I have to travel the 75 miles to exchange it tomorrow. Leaning towards road trip!!! I know that Brownells will make it right because they are awesome like that, but it's just a big downer after being so excited to get my new grips.

well, if your are stopping in....
I would send them back in the mail, if you go, and are anything like me, you most likely will end up with a truck full of goodies.

Sounds like Montezuma's revenge has replaced Murphy's Law.

Good to see im not the only impatient person that goes on a mission when your trying to get something done right. I cant get stuff out of my head until i get it fixed right and done no matter if the time and gas cost me more than the whole thing.

Yup, and me also... I drove a 90 miles round trip just before Christmas to collect a new revolver, despite 8 inches of snow in places and official warnings to 'only travel if essential' - That Remmie seemed pretty essential at the time! ;)
