I'm stepping up to a .45for range use and IDPA.I've owned only one pistol for the past 8 years,a Sig P228.I love it,accurate,no failures of any kind.Iv'e always wanted a 1911 because they are beautiful guns and i can shoot them very accurately but they just don't jive with me as far as they feel awkward.Maybe it's just because all ive shot are Sigs and i'll get used to the 1911 grip. But everytime i decide i'll get the 1911 I make the mistake of fondling my Sig and the 1911 is replaced instantly with visions of a P220ST.What to do,I hear the P220ST does not meet weight requirements for IDPA but i'm more familiar with the Sig action and infinitely more comfortable with it.I would be training with the same weapon type I would carry. But the 1911 is very accurate, customizable to a greater degree, abit flatter for easier concealment,IDPA legal and just pretty as hell.So should I
A. Get the P220ST
B. Get a "loaded" 1911
C. Get a P220ST and a cheapie RIA 1911
D. Get a CPO/used P220 standard model and a Mil-Spec 1911
