The vote link seems to be broken.......

95 to 5, in our favor.

Always happy to help out decent folks, no matter where they're from.

And for the record, law cannot "give" rights, only restrict them, as is the case down under at the moment.

The question really should be phrased, "should the law remove current onerous restrictions on the right of self defense?"

OK. I voted. Send this over to your PM, whats his name-Howard? The guy who 'hates guns'. Are his bodyguards armed?

Thanks for your help, fellas. As of this (Monday) morning, it's running 96% "Yes" to 4% "No". Even though they don't give a total (of course not), that's still a very healthy result.

Thank you again. :D

Out of curiosity, are the gun laws in New Zealand as screwed up as yours?

No, our Kiwi cousins actually use some common sense with their gun laws!! They are able to legally own and use many more firearm types than we are.

While she appeared to actually shoot the handgun towards the camera in the program, it was also plain to see that the visible cylinders were empty. In any case, unless she had the requisite licence, it would be illegal for her to fire the gun, even if it was only with a blank.

It's possible the "firing" effect was cgi'ed later.

As for the thumbs, just as well it wasn't a semi-auto. :D

97% us. I watched the video clip, and it just makes me mad! Being able to protect ourselves is a basic human instinct. How dare they deny our right to live.
