So I have been browsing a few of the local gun stores lately. I have been looking to put a Bersa Thunder 380 in my hands as I am wanting to replace a 380 I sold a few years ago. I have come to see the S&W's the PPKS and the Walther PK380 among a few others. Most stores around me don't seem to carry the Bersa. Today on my search I spotted a S&W model 629 44mag in the case and asked to see it. The trigger was smooth in DA and the SA trigger breaks nice and crisp. All in all I felt this gun was calling to me. I fell in love with it and put it on layaway. I had a 44 Ruger Super Redhawk for a long time but, I also sold that off two years ago. That gun was nice but I never really loved it. Even with 44 specials it was not very accurate for me. Built like a tank but it didn't have the smooth action feel like the Smith and Wesson. I can't shoot many rounds in 44mag as I find it punishing But I still like a gun that can shoot both. The Smith and wesson feels better to me and so I pulled the trigger so to speak. Any of you ever gone to buy one gun and ended up buying something completely different?
