I purchased it in January, and it was my first handgun. I have shot ~600 rounds through it. I enjoy shooting it, and it is my home defense/carry gun. in fact, it is my only other firearm other than my 10/22. The problem is, I feel its fairly blocky, and just don't carry it very often. (i do have a MTAC holster and 5 stich wilderness belt) I'm not an extremely proficient handgun shooter, and think that I need some practice with a .22 handgun...which I do not own.
Funds are tight, and these are the firearms I am planning on purchasing...in order.
saiga 7.62x39 -before prices go up again
ruger lcp -to have a gun I will feel comfortable carrying
some .22 hangun.... ruger mk3/buckmark/etc -to have a plinker
fullsize 9mm/40/45 -for a range gun/home defense gun
Should I sell the xd to fund the other firearms? I dont feel that attached to it. My first firearm was my 10/22 which I don't plan on ever selling. But the xd doesn't really have any significant place in my heart. I just don't know if I will regret it, and I don't know what a fair price is for it. I asked the gunshop guy casually what he thought I would be able to get for an xd9 s/c and he said he'd pay $225 cash or $300 trade. Feels like a huge low-ball. But he didn't see the gun.... Would listing it locally for $400 be fair?
ANY opinion is welcome!
