I was at the pawn shop last night (Cash America) and saw a stock older10/22 for $169.99. It looked to be in pretty good shape (I'd say 90% or better), and even had the scope rail and a compact Bushnell .22 scope.

I put it on layaway. What do you think - a fair deal? I like the older 10/22s with their metal trigger guards and lack of krinkle paint on the receiver. Serial number started with 247-.

Sounds like you did pretty good...but you probably could have worked them down to about $150.00 knowing most pawn shops (assuming $169.99 was the original price), but you still did well. I too like the older 10/22s.

    :)
