20230204_152715.jpg 20230204_152721.jpg The neighbor kid had some unexpected vet bills and decided to move along some stuff he doesn't use as much as he would like. Included in the list were several airguns... two I already have multiples of- I turned him onto a .22 maurauder n a .177 diana 430l... he found a FWB 300s and grabbed it before I saw it :p Anyhow the 300s was offered to me. I offered to give him some money or a loan if he needed but he wanted to sell. I bought the 300s at his price- I usually like a better steal but I thought- heck I would give him the money so why am I even thinking of getting "cheap" on the 300s? He gave me a deal anyhow but it was what he asked for knowing the newer market on them.

The gun is pretty nice- I think it has the beech stock but I noticed a rotational wobble of the action in the stock. I still bought her knowing it might need some work because I wanted to take some stress off of him... I figured it had something to do with the front slide pins... sure enough I pulled it out of the stock and one pin was missing- that explained the wobble it should not have I thought... While rotating the naked action I heard a noise... I wiggled he around and rotated her a bit and the missing pin fell out :)
I slid her back in and she seems tight- so I dont think it is all wore out. He had it resealed after he bought her by a guy who does not specialize in spriger repairs let alone Feinwerkbau. I am guessing the clip was not fully seated or something.
Now the wait for the replacemnt clip- I ordered 2 from nikonis on ebay in canada.... under three US dollars for 2 clips and shipping. I have bought from him before .

I have always wanted to get a 300- I jumped to a SSP FWB model 601 figuring to bypass the 300 since at the time I had a Diana 75. I sold her off after I got the 601 thinking I would get a FWB 300 because it was an easier to self service system as opposed to tge Model 75/Giss system

It will go well with my FWB model 80 pistol :)

Picts added to original..to original... light freckle on "bolt" slide n a spot ot two on the barrel that should come off with steel wool or a penny but clean enough.

My 300s gave me a whole stack of these:) When the seals failed and it needed a rebuild with postage both ways it cost me dang near what I paid for the rifle but with accuracy like this how could I not do it? No regret. That’s a fine rifle you have there congratulations. I hope she shoots as well as mine.

Yeah I know they shoot well when in good condition. I got the two clips I ordered a week back last week. I have not put the clip in or played with her yet. I think she needs some proper lube all around but I will have to see- I have not dove into her yet. Like I said- "DISTRACTIONS" - work chores-100 other hobbies and work... n naps ya know :p
